General Information:
Book Review Project - This is a 2-part assignment. First, choose your book by October 12. Then read and review
your chosen book and turn in to www.turnitin.com (your class ID is 1686890). See Mrs. Fine for the password. These papers are due by 3:30 pm on November
9!
The second part is to still review your book but in a more creative way. This part is due December 17. Each part
is worth 100 points.
Based on the Book Report Project, the following books are recommended to Latin students by the Latin 3-4 class
of 2006-07:
- Body in the Bathhouse by Lindsey Davis
- Martial's Epigrams
- Last Days of Pompeii by Sir Edward George Bulwer-Lytton
- Venus in Copper by Lindsey Davis
- Rubicon by Tom Holland
Getty Villa - We will be going to the Getty VIlla on March 5 so make sure that you have your
permission slips in by the designated date! Also, do not forget that this is a research trip, so bring your cameras! The Roman Culture Project, due March 23, will be the culmination of this research. Bona Fortuna!

Verb Mastery for Latin 3 will be on January 25. This will preclude many
of the verb questions on the final exam, allowing us to concentrate more on the other aspects of Latin grammar, translations
and Roman culture. Percentage weight will be determined per department policy. This will be a 35 question, multiple choice
test, and cover the entire period. Check below for the verb conjugations, tenses & voices to be covered.
Your final will consist of 100 multiple choice questions & count for 20% of your grade.
